This joint is located on the main drag, just across the bridge on the east side of the river.

We have eaten at eight places in Laos so far, and this is hands-down the best.

The prices are good. The food is good. The folks running the place are nice.

Like most places in Thailand and Laos, the family lives at their place of work. As a result, there’s a cute little toddler girl running running around most of the time.

The toddler’s father speaks a fair amount of English, which makes it easy to sort things out. The grandmother will work you on learning some Laotian, which is always a good thing.

This is a happy establishment, so you will like being here.

There are several vegetarian options, including a pretty good papaya salad and a pretty good stir-fried morning glory. They also make a good vegetable curry. The surprise was a Laotian bamboo soup that was crazy-good.
