This restaurant is located on the river front, next to the Monorom 2 VIP Hotel.

It’s a small restaurant, contained inside the bottom floor of your standard SE Asian shophouse.

The restaurant is run by the Buddhism and Society Development Association, so you have a lot of young folks running the place as they learn the trade – and doing a pretty decent job of it.

While the restaurant is a bit on the pricey side, we thought the quality of the food was above par. The vegetarian tom yum soup was exceptional, especially when you said you wanted it spicy. The tofu salad was equally impressive, as was the vegetarian curry soup. Whoever is teaching the kitchen staff is doing a great job.

The only shortfall we found was in the bar, where the mixed drinks came out pretty poor; but that’s not unusual for this area of the world.

If you visit Kompong Cham, this is a restaurant worth your time and money.
